as I sit and listen to ‘ wind cries Mary’ performed by widespread panic,I wonder just how many songs I have forgotten,
And if it weren’t for great bands covering great songs they could be forgotten much sooner.
So this is one reason for my song lists and also these songs were listened to during the same day of writing these.
maybe someday they will be revisited decades later even. I know american music nomads will be in continuance of this journey and maybe even stumble across this and an old song someday.
And coincidentally or not, Just today I stumbled across an old song called ‘conscientious objector’ By a musician named Keith Everett .On an album released in 1966.
I remembered that lyric while writing this and I thought it was from a song some where in my brain goo archives ,So I Googled it.
What an emotional time back then and tragedy for those who were deployed and also drafted into Vietnam.
This era will never be forgotten! And all other saddening events such as any War.
Music keeps a memory of time and error alive, weather just in the self, archives, somewhere. somewhat of a time keeper in a way that it connects us with deep memory, or a data reminder maybe?
