may you stay

it’s getting colder now and this time throughout my life has consistently been hard.

in the winter time ,living in a cold region for those months,trying to tell myself it’s a mosquito break lol and I know these winter months, like most of my hard times, all derive from choices of my own.

It’s been almost 10 years since my festival career ended basically due to my great respect for cannabis That which was just a little bit more than the law would allow, I fought that law and the law won!

So back to square one i went. My festival career of approximately 18 years, and also while touring summer dead shows early on,then 10 years at the same venue Just dead stopped.

It was a great honor and a fantastic journey! ,That being said,I was really happy to be moving on! Being planted at a venue was not easily managed because one fact still remains true, we ain’t many ! But I managed to duck quite often,though my flak jacket was torn to shreds, alibi’s shot full of holes , and a couple of times almost literally, lol

i was way past due to leave when the walls caved in! Looking back I was truly lucky to make it that long!

Now almost 9 years of this journey of starting over and finding myself still struggling in the winter! I have struggled in the winter for 30 years, lol i believe mainly Because I have never been able to have a child with a woman that had the compatibility needed for this music nomad way that we’ve been forging for these short decades.

It’s quite understandable. my children are about 18 years apart and I’ve only tried twice.

My daughter’s mom admires my dream of raising our daughter in a more nomadic way, homeschooling etc. she is more of a homesteader growing food etc. which I admire that as well!

I believe I can have both , If I can figure out this remote income and make it work! So is it possible? Most tell me it’s not, But as for me I still believe! I’m looking into remote jobs again this winter and my daughter’s mother is helping me out while I do so.

so being more and more common all the time, if you meet another music nomad and fall in love, treasure it! Nurture it! Try to never forget how precious life is and all is a journey together as one! Good luck to all who find love there And please , may you stay forever young ,together!
