going back 30 years to the beginning of my listening to the grateful dead and Bob Marley.
I listened to these two bands at a constant, loving every minute of those early years.
as Jerry sang, “I bent my ear to hear the tune that’s still unsung”.
Many years went by and I watched glow sticks and flashing toys enter the scene and everything that came along with it lol EDM music was close on the heels of the day . I did enjoy the beats but I couldn’t indulge in the no lyric music for more than maybe a half hour or so but I still listened.
Michael Franti and spearheaded with a great album called ‘yell fire’! That was a nice refreshing sound and There’s nothing like base thumping away through a nice subwoofer!
Also bands like slightly stupid, sound tribe sector 9, entered the scene with some nice twists.
So several years passed by sticking to mostly the grateful dead and A bit of other stuff like Railroad Earth, Donna the Buffalo, and ekoostik hookah .
Then like a song leading home i hear a great rising Appalachia , trevor Hall, nahko and medicine for the people , satsang, stick figure, wookiefoot, dirtwire, etc it feels like a great vibe of a new old soul!
Like a spark of a new generation of what I was on grateful Dead tour! Great Vibe, a little on the tribal side, as myself ,I leaned toward the tribal side of that experience!
This tribal side, I found, is not directly related to the Native Americans but a bit comparable in certain ways.
It’s been a great joy for me and a level up and onward with the scope of the betterment of mankind, loving this planet and all within!
